Online therapy for women across the state of Florida and Oregon.
Hi, I’m Dr. Angelique Melendez-Blanch, a Licensed Psychologist, fully bilingual in English and Spanish. I’m passionate about working with women who are struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma. My goal is to help you stop feeling overwhelmed, sad, afraid and nervous, and start supporting you in your path of healing and transformation.

My Journey To Becoming A Psychologist
My own growth through personal life struggles is what helps me relate so deeply with clients. Having gone through many losses and difficult times myself has help me understand the emotional pain that one can go through at times and how these can affect you in many areas of your life (work, school, family and social relationships are just a few).
Often your daily living becomes very difficult to deal with and even the way you see and treat yourself can change. These experiences have shaped me and take me to care much more about my clients today.
Helping People Energizes Me
I love helping people become healthier, empowered and transform their lives. The most rewarding thing about being a Psychologist is inspiring others to achieve their goals and live a fulfilling life.

I Have Compassion For People And Bring Warmth And Understanding To Sessions
I have a natural ability to:
- Understand people’s experiences and be empathetic
- Collaborate with people to set goals and help them reach them
- Accept people for who they are and in their current life circumstances
- Help clients heal their past, enjoy their present and look forward to their future.
Our Sessions Are Focused On You
It is of utmost importance to me that you are provided with a nonjudgemental space where, you can be yourself, where you can feel understood and heard, a place where you can express your thoughts and feelings, while setting goals and working on reaching them together. There isn’t a “one size fits all” approach to therapy and our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.

As A Psychologist, I Embrace The Following Philosophies
- I believe that therapy should address the person as a whole – their mind, body, and spirit.
- I believe that all steps count, even the small ones and that a few small steps in the right direction end up being the biggest steps in the end.
- I believe that the biggest thing standing in your way is the fear that life will always be the way it is now.
- I believe that we can stop feeling shame and guilt when we share our story with someone who can hear it with empathy and understanding.
My Professional Background
I achieved a master’s and doctor’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Carlos Albizu University, San Juan Campus, with honors. Completed my internship at APS Healthcare and from there moved to the Pacific Northwest Coast to complete my Post-Doctoral training practicing behavioral health services in an integrated model within the Primary Care setting, working as a team member of a multidisciplinary team. Two years later I moved to Florida to continue my work in the Primary Care Setting where I focus on the whole person health, and where I started my private practice. I also hold a master’s degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology, from Alliant University in San Diego, California and I’m Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
I use different approaches to treat my clients, that depend on the client’s personality and needs. Many of the interventions I practice come from the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, also including mindfulness and relaxation skills. I help my clients create resilience and learn skills and strategies that last for life, so they can cope with stressors that life brings, move forward and live healthier lives, while learning to understand how thoughts, behaviors and emotions are connected.
